Hi, I’m Heather.
A pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Moving Mountains Therapy. I started Moving Mountains Therapy because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel confident, capable, and successful in their everyday life. For many children, tasks that seem simple—like handwriting, using scissors, getting dressed, or keeping up with schoolwork—can feel overwhelming without the right support. My goal is to help children build the skills they need so those daily activities become easier and more enjoyable.
I specialize in helping children strengthen fine motor skills, handwriting, coordination, and other foundational skills that support success at home and in the community. I take a personalized, child-centered approach to therapy, meeting each child where they are and building on their unique strengths.
I also believe that parents are an essential part of the process. I work closely with families to create meaningful goals and provide practical strategies that can support progress beyond our sessions.
Through Moving Mountains Therapy, my hope is to help children overcome challenges, build confidence, and discover just how capable they truly are.
Our mission is to help children grow, thrive, and build confidence by providing personalized, evidence-based occupational therapy in the environments where they learn and live. By combining the flexibility of mobile services with the therapeutic benefits of nature, we create meaningful opportunities for children to develop the skills they need for everyday life. We believe that movement, exploration, and connection with the natural world support regulation, resilience, and lasting growth.
Our mission
Our philosophy
At Moving Mountains Therapy, we believe children grow best when they feel supported, capable, and free to explore the world around them. Our work is grounded in honesty, integrity, creativity, and connection. By bringing therapy into natural environments and everyday spaces, we create opportunities for children to learn through movement, play, and meaningful experiences.
We take a strengths-based, family-centered approach and partner closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create practical strategies that work in real life. Our goal is not only to support your child’s development but also to empower your entire family with tools that build confidence, resilience, and lasting success.
